For the past few weeks the learners have been engaged in an innovation station! The learners were given the choice of 4 provocations which included: creating an Ormibot from scratch, designing an object in Tinkercad to print in the 3D printer, designing a Science experiment or designing a series of code using Scratch and Makey Makey each of which would develop their capabilities. Sadeen, Selestine and Louisa enjoyed the first week of ‘discovery learning’ where they had some choices of tasks to complete to help them get familiar with the coding programme ‘Scratch’ and the extension kit ‘Makey Makey’ and make connections to their prior knowledge. They watched tutorials, tried out their predictions and played around with the various affordances of the equipment and programme. They used the Makey Makey and Scratch to create a piano. Henry also supported these learners with using the Makey Makey- great collaboration. For Week 9 and 10 the girls worked collaboratively to design and create a piano game using the Scratch programme and Makey Makey equipment. In order to piece together the code successfully there was a lot of trialling and prototyping which showed the resilience of Selestine, Louisa and Sadeen. They showed their curiosity, thinking and managing self skills by looking at what others had done and making connections to what they wanted to achieve. See some of their learning below!

Week 10 what I wich. Blog post
What I wish in the holidays
Hi I can't what for the holidays. Do you know what I wish in the to weeks holidays is that I go to my favourite country Jordan. I, I mean I haven't been to Jordan for about (6) years and I keep on thinking what I can do in the to weeks holidays when I came with a grate idea of going to Jordan that is if we can. If we can't I will be imagining of seating in my grandmas living room and playing with the cards. Or if she is cooking my favourite food malkhia. And at night time imagining having here in your room and reading you a lovely story about red raiding hood. And if we do get to go to Jordan I will run to my grandma and give here lots and lots of hags I will give all of the people that I missed in Jordan and when I get there I will help here with cleaning the house and so that's what I wish in the holidays so what do you wish.

Week 9 blog post
In the weekends.
In the weekends on Saturday my dad was working well all of the girls my sister my mum and I place a boy my brother we were in the house we were so bord but then I told my mum if we can go to the park to have fun my mum said is we can but can we go to the mall first so I can bay a gaft for my frends new baby OK I replyd so we got redy to go then when we got there it toke as 10 minets to find as a parking then at last we fond a parking we went in the mall and went in the flower shop the flower shop did not only have flowers it even had tedy bears and all kind of stafe but my mum pecked this one I was so happy that we pecked this one because I
liked it as well after we bayed it we went to home so the present dids not get rouend the we went to the park today was fun I said we played and played we had so mach fun and that was the end of ouer day.

Ones there was a cat who sat on his favourite mat. Ones he went to the mall and he bot a ball. This cat was to fat because it eats rats His favourite colour is green and he was a beat mean.
